Art Show

What a fabulous community event we had on Monday evening at the Art Show. The talent and creativity of our students was certainly on show through the range of pieces on display.  Well done to Mrs Michielin and Mrs Janson for the time and inspiration they provided to the students to support them to produce such high quality art work.

A huge thank you to all the staff and families who volunteered their time to help set up and pack up the displays.

2023 Prep Transition

Last night we hosted a Webex for our 2023 Prep Families. We have a very excited group of students ready to begin their schooling at Croydon Hills next years. 

Next week our formal Prep Transition will begin with all the new Prep students having the opportunity to meet a 2023 Prep teacher on either Wednesday or Friday. We are looking forward to welcoming all the new students and families into our community.

In the Classrooms – Year 1 

This term the Year 1 inquiry unit is ‘Healthy Me, Healthy You’ and the students are learning about lots of different ways to keep a healthy mind and body. As an introduction into this unit, ‘Gourmet Kids’ came out to CHPS to provide the students with an opportunity to become chefs for a day.

The students made and taste-tested savoury scrolls and fruit smoothies as part of this experience. In the classrooms they are working towards choosing a personal area of interest and participating in a ‘Healthy Me, Healthy You!’ Showcase later in the term, to share their learning with their peers.
