Gearing up for Stage 6
Our Senior Science classes
On Wednesday, the first of two classes for the Senior Science Preparation Program (SSPP for short) kicked off! The SSPP aims to prepare our Year 10 students for their senior years in Science courses such as Biology, Chemistry, and Physics. The program focuses on the following key areas:
- Improving organisation skills
- Developing healthy study habits, and
- Remediating fundamental concepts from Year 9 & 10 Science
A massive 47 students have already shown their Cecil spirit by registering their interest in the SSPP. Such initiative from our future HSC students is inspiring, so we'll be sure to work equally as hard to make sure the program is a huge success!

Our classes are almost at maximum capacity so the time to register is extremely limited!
Why is it important for you to be a part of the Senior Science Preparation program?
Sarah Norell: “It is important for me to be a part of the Senior Science Preparation program because I have taken a science subject next year. I chose Biology and I would like to be as prepared as I possibly can be for Year 11 and 12 so I could get the best possible marks. This is important to me because of my chosen career path.
Biology is very important because I want to be a paramedic. I want to be in the best possible position to do that and I know this program will help me achieve that.”
