A massive welcome back to Term 4 from our Reconnect Team
We would like to begin by acknowledging our most improved students from last term. The following students have demonstrated tremendous improvement in their arrival to school for a period of three weeks or more.
We congratulate each student on this list on their effort and we look forward to providing them with further support as they strive to sustain their growth in this area.
We especially acknowledge Albertina Oraha from Year 11 who has shown the most significant improvement in her arrival to school in Term 3.
Our team also wants to acknowledge the entire Cecil Family for their collective effort in bringing our daily late arrival average down from 8.6% to 1.6%.
It really does take a village to raise respectful, responsible, and successful young people and these promising numbers are a testament to the effort placed by our entire school community into making sure that our high standards at Cecil Hills High School are met on a daily basis.
Despite our recent success, our job is not done.
We have ten weeks to go, and it is paramount that we view each day as an opportunity for success.
Here’s how you can be successful to start your day:
1. Be aware of bell times. Remember:
2. Sleep earlier. Your alarm clock has a higher chance of working its magic if you get enough sleep. Eight hours is the recommended amount of sleep needed for school-aged students.
3. Leave your house earlier. Leave your house before 08:00am. One of the best ways to beat the relentless Frederick Road morning traffic is by leaving your house earlier.
