Focus on Ability Film Festival Awards night

Congratulations to Year 12 student Eric Huynh, who created and submitted an amazing film for the 14th annual NOVA Employment ‘Focus on Ability Short Film Festival’.   

 

Eric was supported at the red-carpet awards ceremony on 18 October by his proud mother, older brother and teachers Mrs Lukose, Mrs Ford, Mr Floresca and Mr Ford. The event was live streamed from Waterview Events Centre in Bicentennial Park.

 

There were 265 entries for the film festival from around the world, including Eric’s ‘Ben-10 in Real Life’, which showcased Eric’s cooking skills.  

 

Film-makers and people with a disability were encouraged to tell their stories through their film.  Attendees were entertained throughout the event with performances by singer, Raechel Leahcarr  and rapper, MC Wheels.
