Gala Day

The senior students were excited to play against other schools during Gala Day. The event was split across two days due to bad weather. Our two basketball teams each played five matches. The effort and sportsmanship that most students put in were outstanding. The boy's team won four games and tied one.

The following week, the Lacrosse and Softball teams were blessed with beautiful weather on Monday. It was amazing to see the students playing lacrosse, a sport they have just started to learn how to play and develop their skills. In particular, how to play with knees bent, scoop the ball and pass three times in the offensive zone before scoring. It was great to hear students' feedback saying they enjoyed themselves. The softball team was brilliant as well. The majority had never played this sport and could only practise occasionally. The feedback was also very optimistic when I heard students mention that they enjoyed the sport and could see how they needed to play as a team.
