SAPSASA Swimming

Ms Dunstan and Mr Herne took 11 eager Year 7 students to compete at the North East District SAPSASA Swimming competition at Norwood Swimming Centre. Students participated in individual races against schools and finished first overall for the day!

Archie Kretschmer came 1st in all his individual events (50m Freestyle, Breaststroke, Butterfly).

Bridget Hansen placed 1st in 50m Breaststroke and 2nd in Freestyle & Backstroke.

Milika Hussaini placed 1st in Breaststroke, 2nd in Freestyle & Backstroke.

Xenia Salupalu came 2nd in Breaststroke and Butterfly.

Harrison Vokietatis came 2nd in Freestyle.

Gowtham Gurumoorthy finished 2nd in Backstroke.

SSSSA Swimming

Selected Year 8-11 students had a great day out at Marion Aquatic Centre for SSSSA Swimming. Students not only competed in their own age group races but stepped up to compete in higher age groups and the Open age group with all students racing in four or the maximum five races for the day. Highlights included Year 9 Stephanie Hansen winning all of her races and a personal best in Open Butterfly, Jemma Weiss, Caitlin Mundy, Jack Kreshmer and George Dang finishing 3rd in their races,  exciting close finishes for 2nd in team freestyle relay races and all students helping out wherever it was needed.
