Middle School

Measure and Distance.

In our 5/6 class we were learning about measurement and distance and our class built an obstacle course for Miss Targett's dogs to run on. Mrs Rice’s Kindergarten class also came and tried it out. We needed to build it how it was in the drawing that was made so we had to measure where all the tables chairs, and such went and make it so the dogs could still do it all. We also needed to make sure that the dogs would stay on track, so people ran beside the dogs and made sure that they went to each obstacle. - Souki Halliday

Science Discovery Day

Sixteen students from Years 5 and 6 attended UNE to participate in the Science Discovery day which saw them team up with students from Guyra Central School to complete a number of engineering challenges. The students all worked very well together and our combined teams won the day (out of the local schools)!
