Northern NSWCCC Rugby League Trials
On Tuesday 2 and Wednesday 3 May, Thomas Croake travelled to Smithtown for the Northern NSWCCC Rugby League trials as a part of the Armidale Diocesan U15 Rugby League team.
Thomas was not selected to progress to the NSWCCC Rugby League trials, but should be commended on the effort shown during the two games in which he was involved.

Peel Schools' Carnival
Girls League Tag
This year marks the 53rd Peel Schools Rugby League Carnival Tamworth, with the introduction of girls' League Tag. Six teams competed in the knockout competition throughout the day. McCarthy under 14’s team played three games with only four tries scored against them. The team defeated St Joseph’s Aberdeen and Gunnedah High School. McCarthy played Scone High School in the final playing with refined skill and effective teamwork to win and take out the inaugural title as the winners for the Girls' League Tag A Grade. Each game the girls displayed fair play and cooperated with each other with two aims in mind; to work together and include everyone. It was a pleasure to be their coach and I was proud of their performance and achievement.
Thank you to Nick Taggart who volunteered to assist the team during the final.
Congratulations to Jada Taylor who was named Player of the Girls' Competition and to the following girls who now go on to play in Tamworth on 12 May: Breanna Luckey, Holly Bynge, Georgia Horniman, Sienna O’Mally, Macy Gillies, Shanae Roach, Phoebe Porter, Chloe Shanley, Olivia Whittemore, Sophie Corbett, Abbegale Ryan and Aalinyah Smith.
