Youth Encouragement Grants

The Youth Encouragement Grants are an exciting youth initiative offered by the Mosman Park Youth Advisory Council (MPYAC) and are designed to assist young people to achieve their goals and participate in the community.

Not only for high achievers, these grants are aimed at assisting young people to reach the goals they have set for themselves and the money can be put towards a variety of areas including tuition, coaching and purchasing specialised equipment.

There are four $1,000 grants available and applications can be made in any of the following categories:

• Academic Study

• Sport and Recreation

• Music and the Arts

• Community Service

• Leadership

To be eligible for a Youth Encouragement Grant, applicants must be between the ages of 12 and 24 years inclusive at the time of the closing date and must either reside in Mosman Park, study in Mosman Park, or actively participate in the Mosman Park community.

The grants are presented annually with 50% payment on being awarded the grant and the remaining 50% paid following a 12 month commitment to the Mosman Park Youth Advisory Council (MPYAC) and minimum attendance and reporting requirements being met.

The closing date for these is Friday 9 August 2019. Attached is the application form, which can also be found on our website - https://www.mosmanpark.wa.gov.au/community/grants-and-funding#Youth%20Encouragement%20Grants
