Wellbeing

Welcome Clare!
Clare Coman
Wellbeing Coordinator
I would like to introduce myself to the Preshil community. I recently joined the staff and have been overwhelmed by the generosity and kindness shown to me by my colleagues, the students and parents.
My background is in teaching, wellbeing, arts, music and literature. I am working full time at Preshil (8.30am - 4.30pm) and will be located at both Blackhall Kalimna (Mondays to Wednesdays) and Arlington (Thursdays and Fridays).
Counselling and referrals will be a part of my role, with added tasks of Parent Support Group (PSG) meetings, funding applications, assisting teachers with planning and writing of documents (such as Individual Education Plans) and completing the National Consistent Collection of Data (NCCD).
My door is open to students, parents and staff to assist in any way with wellbeing. Please come upstairs in Kalimna or into Arlington house and introduce yourself – I would like to meet as many people as possible as this gives me a better perspective of the School.
I am looking forward to the wonderful journey of life at Preshil.
I have come to accept the feeling of not knowing where I am going. And I have trained myself to love it. Because it is only when we are suspended in mid-air with no landing in sight, that we force our wings to unravel and alas begin our flight. And as we fly, we still may not know where we are going to. But the miracle is in the unfolding of the wings. You may not know where you're going, but you know that so long as you spread your wings, the winds will carry you.
