Compass Absences
It is exciting to see some families making use of Compass to inform us of their child's absence! Parents can access Compass at any time to fill in the Note/Approval to let us know their child will be absent or late due to illness or an appointment, etc. It is particularly useful when parents fill in a Note/Approval for their child to leave school early for an appointment as this shows on the class roll. It is easy and quick for parents! If you are not sure how to do this, read the paragraph below and give it a go!
Absences: Log in to Compass. On the home page under your child's name, select Add Attendance Note/Approval. A pop up box allows you to enter your child's absence with a reason, a comment (if needed) and the dates and times of the absence.
You are still welcome to phone in absences (ph: 9817 6135) or email absences to kate.bowers@preshil.vic.edu.au. The most direct and accurate method is through Compass and I do encourage you to give it a go! If you have any questions, please call us and we will do our best to help you to get to know the system.
Farewell Diane
Some of the Admin team were able to recently gather to thank and farewell the lovely Diane who resigned her role as Preshil's HR Manager. Diane is looking forward to spending time with family in Canberra and we wish her every success in the future.
Annual Consent Forms
Nursery Students
It is very important that we have an Annual Consent form for every child. If you are unsure as to whether or not you have completed a form, please phone Kate on 9817 6135 to check our records. The form covers: Consent to Medical Attention, Local Area Excursion, Travel in the School Bus and Head Lice Checks. If you have not filled in the form, please download it below and return it to Nursery Staff or via email to kate.bowers@preshil.vic.edu.au
