It’s been another fabulous term of art at St Margaret Mary’s Primary School. I know the students have really enjoyed taking home their artworks inspired by famous artist. I have been so proud of all the wonderful creations the children have produced and I hope that we can continue to learn more about art and artist next term together. What’s on for Term 2 Next terms topic is INDIA.

Students will be inspired by this country’s rich culture and create artworks around their symbols, flora and fauna. Student will learn new art techniques such as perspective, (foreground and background) when drawing the Taj Mahal. This famous landmark in India, is world renowned for its beauty and symmetry. Collage will be taught when creating colourful festive elephants. Interestingly in India elephants are famous for playing polo, tug of war and even beauty contests.

Finally, students will develop an appreciation for Indian culture and its influences on art when learning to draw and paint marigolds the national flower and Peacocks the nation bird of India. To Book your child’s place next term please go to the website
