Year 4

Bella Abruzzese

Year 4 were fortunate enough to attend the Volvo’s Oceans Festival in Bondi to coincide with our science unit, ‘Living Things vs Non-living Things’. The students were able to come face to face with all types of living creatures, from viewing plankton under the microscope, to holding a live starfish! They were not only able to put their creativity into action when making whale origami or clay sea creatures, they also critiqued others creativity when voting for their favourite and most influential sculpture in the 2023 Volvo Ocean Lovers Festival Waste-Art Competition. Although, STAMM's Melting Ice, Seals Pay the Price”, by Year 6, and “Save our Green Turtles' ', by Year 5 were clear stand outs. We look forward to continuing learning on our new scientific findings from this wonderful, hot day!
