Olives to Oil Harvest Festival is back!

Darebin, Merri-Bek and Yarra are partnering with CERES 3000acres to bring the Olives to Oil Harvest Festival back in 2023!

Come together over the weekend of 19-21 May to harvest olives from streets, parks and productive gardens. The olives will be pressed communally into delicious, local olive oil by our friends Barfold Olives and distributed back to the people who help with the harvest.

Drop off your freshly picked olives at CERES Fair Food in Preston on Sunday 21 May. A drop-off location is also available at CERES Brunswick East on the same day, where there will be music, festivities and workshops like face painting, olive pruning, olive identification and more! Collect your oil from Reservoir Library two weeks later.

Tickets are free for residents of Darebin, Merri-Bek and Yarra, and $15 per booked delivery of olives for residents of other areas. The first 50kg will be processed for you for free, and after that there will be a charge of $5.
