Gemma's Message

Principal - St Gabriel's Primary School

Dear families and friends,

WOW! Last newsletter for Term 1 2023. Time flies..

I would like to CONGRATULATE all of our AMAZING children, educators and families for the mammoth effort of swimming. Getting ready in the morning had an added stress, our timetables all swapped and changed, our teacher roles involved talking through doors explaining how to get wet bathers on and off and then returning back to school trying to get into the day's learning. Phew !! Deep breath - we made it. Thank you to one and all.

We have found some difficulties with the pool set up, we will therefore be moving to a new pool in 2024.

Current families - enrolment 2024

Our school tours are coming to an end. Please ensure if you have a child beginning Prep in 2024 - your enrolment form is due.

GRIP LEADERSHIP CONFERENCE

This week our school leaders attended GRIP with Angela. GRIP stands for the following:

GENEROSITY

Willingness to use what you have been given (time and resources) on behalf of those you seek to influence.

RESPONSIBILITY

We all have a responsibility to develop what we have and help others to live well.

INTEGRITY

A commitment to truth and honesty in dealings.

PEOPLE

Every human being is of great significance, and has a purpose to fulfil.

GRIP Leadership is a values driven organisation. The core values below represent the heartbeat of all GRIP Leadership staff and volunteers. We believe these core values sit at the heart of our school vision and we are excited to see and experience the action in our school communities.

VISITORS

Next week we have several Early Learning Centres visiting our school - you may hear your child/ren working in a different room for a session. This is to accommodate our many visitors. We can’t wait to welcome our local friends.

Next week is our last week for Term 1 - we will see you at St Stephen’s. Please remember to call our office if you are unable to get to St Stephen’s. We will have a Fun Easter day and Sports activities.

Please dress in house colours.

Enjoy the school holidays and thank you for your continued support,

Gemma
