From the beginning of Term One your child/children have been participating in Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) classes. They have explored the Core Value Concepts taken from the Bounce Back Program. So far we have engaged in the topics surrounding; Friendship, Honesty, Responsibility, Acceptance of Difference. To support their SEL children have actively engaged in role play scenarios, created their own skits, listened to stories from books and their peers, shared their own experience and played games. They have had many opportunities to recognise their personal uniqueness and how they are different and the same as their peers. We will continue to engage in additional core value topics that promote social and emotional development.

The following attachment, DON’T LET YOUR CHILD GROW UP WITH A VICTIM MENTALITY comes from the Big Life Journal and it may provide some ideas to guide and support you and your child.
