LIBRARY NEWS - END OF TERM

It seems as though I blinked and I missed it, end of term one is upon us already. This week is the last borrowing week for term one. We ask that all books are returned to the library during next week's library lessons please. Gr 3,4,5 and 6 are able to keep one fiction book for holiday reading.

Thank you to the children who remember to bring their library bags each week. There are still a number of children who do not have library bags or are continuing to forget them on library day. The longevity of our books relies on library bags to give them a safe way to get to and from school. It would be fantastic to see everyone with their library bags on library days.

Thank you

Yolanda McVilly

Learning to Learn Unit

What a great day of hands-on learning! Last week, students from Grade Two, Five and Six had the opportunity to examine several sheep's brains, livers, kidneys and hearts as a part of this term's Learning to Learn Unit- the Brain. The students made cross-sections of the brain and were able to identify the different parts they had been learning about.

Some of the great work around the classes which has been done during the term 1 Learning to Learn with our amazing brain inquiry.

WE ARE  SUNSMART

When it comes to using sun protection, temperature isn't a good guide. You can’t see or feel UV but UV is the part of the sun that can damage skin and eyes and lead to skin cancer. SunSmart advises that Victoria’s UV levels start to rise from mid-August to the end of April. Please remind your child to pack their hat

UNIFORM SHOP

UNIFORM SHOP WILL BE OPEN ON FRIDAY'S BY AN APPOINTMENT

Please call our office at anytime to schedule an appointment on a Friday during Uniform shop hours. If you are unable to attend on uniform day, Richelle will still be available to take your orders by phoning on a Friday during our Uniform shop hours which are 10am - 12noon.  From there you will place your order and payment will be made at that time. All orders will be packed and sent home each Friday with your child.

Alternatively, you can download the order form from our website or your PAM account via ‘knowledge bank’.  Complete the form and send it with the correct money with your child or phone for payment on Friday.

If sizing is an issue, you are able to send clothing back (still with tags) and it will be swapped over for you...children are unable to be called up to office to be sized for clothing without a parent/guardian in attendance.

Thank you for your cooperation - Richelle Seuren (Uniform Officer)
