Individual Student Goals

Term Four has continued to have a strong focus on developing the individual student, with each child working towards their own personal maths goals during our 'Goal Sessions'. 

These goal sessions provided students with valuable time to work on a specific area of numeracy and extend or consolidate their skills in a specific concept according to their area of need. Students conferenced with their teacher and used a wide range of strategies to meet their own learning goals. 

Concepts

The term had a strong focus on Measurement and Geometry as a teaching focus as well as providing multiple exposures  of other concepts taught throughout the year. Students explored shapes, location and transformation and used the Cartesian plane to create maps and images.
