Principal's Message

Dear Parents/Guardians,

Our fathers, and those special men who fill those spaces when needed, are critical to the growing of well rounded children. Men who demonstrate through word and action, love, caring, kindness and integrity pass this on to the next generation.

In a school we are very fortunate to see daily, the wonderful big and small actions of the dads in our community. I'd like to say a special thank you to each and every man who is taking on a parenting role. It's tough, fun, exhilarating, exhausting and wearing. Keep going - you are making a wonderful difference in the lives of the children.

"It is easier for a father to have children than for children to have a real father."

- Pope JohnXXIII

Hero Dad

You are my hero, Dad

You're my secure foundation.

When I think of you, I'm filled with love

And fond appreciation.

You make me feel protected;

I'm sheltered by your care.

You're always my true friend; and Dad,

When I need you, you're always there.

You have a place of honor

Deep within my heart.

You've been my superhero, Dad,

Right from the very start.

- Go to the home page.

- Click on the picture of the child who you need the information for.

- On the LHS in blue are a number of links - select the one that says school activities

From that LHS menu you can also assess school reports.

DROPPING CHILDREN OFF AT SCHOOL:  We would like to remind parents that is not acceptable to enter the classroom during school time.  If you are signing your child in late to school, children need to go directly to their classroom while you sign them in at the KIOSK in the office.

If you must accompany your child to their classroom, please drop them off at the classroom door and leave promptly.

Every moment that a child is away from the classroom is another moment other children's learning is interrupted by that late arrival.

SCHOOL COMMENCES AT 8:50am.  It is an expectation that ALL students arrive before the line up bell at 8:50am.   The school gates are locked from 9am - 3pm.  Gates close again at 4pm - 8:25am.   Outside of these times, there are to be NO parents in the school grounds unless invited to do so.  ALL parents and visitors must present themselves at the office upon arrival, you must not bypass the office and enter the school grounds.

NEW FAMILIES IN 2020 AND PREP 2020 - ORDERING OF UNIFORM:   New families and 2020 preps can now order uniform online via CDF pay at any time.    We will call you when your order has been processed and ready for pick up.  Alternatively, you can call in at the uniform shop on a Friday from 8:30am - 10am.  Uniform shop is located in the school gymnasium.  All the details for getting onto CDFpay are on the last page of this newsletter.  Please call the office if you need assistance and we will help you.

SCHOOL FEES 2019:  A reminder that if you are not on a payment plan, or informed the school of your intentions, school fees should be paid in full at your earliest convenience please.

School fees should never cause financial distress to our families.   If your family situation has changed and you find that you are having difficulties in meeting your school fees commitment, please make an appointment with  Kate Dourley to discuss options on how we can best assist your family.

Before the end of term 3 we will be sending home the 2020 school fee schedule.  There will be paperwork that will need your attention and forms to be returned.

PRAYER

Loving God,

We thank you for the gift of good dads and the special men in our lives.

We thank them for everything that they do for us.

Help them to have patience when we're difficult, wisdom when we can't see the way, strength when we need comforting, and love at all times, so that, through them, we get a little glimpse of how you feel about us.   Amen.
