International

Women's Day

Breakfast

On Friday 6 March, members of the College community celebrated International Women's Day with an inspiring celebration of #FearlessGirls #StrongWomen.

We were delighted to be joined by guest speaker, Mrs Peta Wragg. Peta is a former staff member, Past Pupils’ Network Committee member and a passionate and committed teacher with over 40 years’ experience, with strong links to the Kildare Ministries’ philosophies and directions.

Peta spoke passionately about the International Women's Day theme '#EachforEqual', where an equal world is an enabled world and our individual actions, conversations, behaviours and mindsets can have an impact on our larger society. Collectively, we can make change happen. Collectively, we can help to create a gender equal world. We can all choose to be #EachforEqual

After telling us stories of inspirational women such as Greta, Malala and Jacinda, all present-day role models for our young women, Peta challenged the students to consider "What will be your deeds?"

What a fantastic morning!
