Preparation for Any Possible COVID-19 Shutdowns

The information below is simply so all families are aware of the College procedures should we be called to shut down the site due to a confirmed case of COVID-19.

Please refer to Mrs Lombardo’s article re: remote learning.  This should be a smooth transition for all and is ready to go should we need it.  Thank-you to Mrs Lombardo and so many others who work tirelessly to ensure the continued learning of all boys at the College.

If there is a Confirmed Case of COVID-19 Procedure during School Hours:

  1. An announcement will be made over the PA system for boys to move to homeroom and collect bags and phones. There they will contact their parents in Homeroom (the eldest in each family only). Boys who do not have mobile phones, will be permitted to use the College phone to contact parents to confirm arrangements.
  2. Each homeroom class teacher will record the intended method of travel home for every boy.
  3. Staff will remain in the homeroom with boys until they have made their arrangements and/or are picked up.
  4. Some staff members will be assigned to monitor the pick up of the boys. Owing to the potential number of cars, there will be no kiss and drop arrangement.
  5. Boys who should not travel home independently must be picked up by a parent, guardian or close family contact as soon as is practicable from the College. Those boys who can travel home independently may do so once confirmed with their teacher that they have approval from a parent/guardian or close family contact.
  6. Students are to stay away from the media and not to speak to the media if they are approached. Boys must go straight home and not go to shopping centres or other public places.

If there is a Confirmed Case of COVID-19 Procedure Out of School Hours:

If we are notified of a confirmed case during out of school hours, parents, students and teachers will be advised of the need to refrain from attendance at the College while it is deep cleaned and contact tracing takes place in conjunction with NSW Health. This communication will be made through a variety of means and facilitated by our COVID-19 Response Team.

We thank you for your preparedness and simply hope we do not need to enact our plans.

Uniform Shop

Due to the current pandemic, parents will not be able to purchase any item of uniform without your son trying it on as we are trying to avoid unnecessary returns.

We are no longer taking appointments at the Uniform Shop, however we are continuing to limit the number of people within the store at any one time.

If you are unable to visit the Uniform Shop with your son, you are welcome to download and complete the credit card form and send it with your son or email us (click for email).
