Learning Power Award Recipients

Congratulations to students who have been recognised by staff for their demonstration of one or many of the 6 Learning Powers celebrated at SMDP.

On Monday during our whole school assembly, the following students were acknowledged and their learning described so we all know why they are worthy recipients of our awards and applause.

Week 6

Chloe

For being an excellent collaborative learner and leader in Prep L! Chloe always leads by example and follow the WOW’s which helps others to remember to do the same. You should be extremely proud of yourself Chloe! Well done!

Yoshua

For being a motivated learner who independently and consistently makes good choices for his learning.  Yoshua’s organisation skills and attention to detail make him a positive role model and allow him to reach his potential in all learning areas. Super effort Yoshua.

For being a reflective learner who often seeks and takes on board teacher feedback in her Writing. This was demonstrated in her ability to improve her work last week where she created an imaginative narrative which included character dialogue with various synonyms for the word 'said.'

For being a motivated learner who has been on task and paying attention to his learning. He has been a helpful class member and has continued to show respect to his peers and teacher. Keep up the good work, Harsh.

Zaeem 

for being a motivated learner who is a great role model in Prep L. Zaeem always completes challenging learning tasks with a smile and positive attitude! He never gives up and always does his best and a little bit more. Zaeem has been an excellent role model for his peers, encouraging them to do their best too. Well done Zaeem!

Bella

for working so hard to become a resilient learner.  Bella , your persistence and determined attitude is paying off. You consistently demonstrate that you are able to overcome challenging learning tasks, and improve your work by taking on board feedback.   Well done, Bella.

For being a reflective learner who always listens to teacher feedback. She has been independently using her sight card to help achieve her learning goal. Selina also uses words from the word wall and dictionary to up level her work. Well done on achieving entertaining, well spelt narratives Selina!
