Student Leader's Report
Hello everyone hope you have had a lovely week and enjoyed the extra time to relax over the long weekend.
The grade 6s have been having buddy session with their prep buddies every Friday that we don’t have assembly. In buddies we have been working on creating our own picture story books with the preps, we are creating the illustrations to have the same style as Eric Carle to make our stories even cooler.
Recently the 5/6s have been learning about Health and Personal Development. We talk about hygiene and the different types of changes the female and male body goes through during puberty.
The health sessions have become a safe place for everyone to learn new things and ask questions.
Not too long ago we had someone come from all of the different high schools in Sunbury. The grade 6s split up into different groups depending on which high school they were going to and learnt about everything that would go on during high school including uniforms, lockers, classes and the expectations. Questions were asked, and we learnt nearly everything we needed to know.
On Friday the 28th we had a very special day, it was World Teachers Day. Our teachers play a vital role in our lives, we create a special bond with them and learn lots from them and for them we are so grateful. Teachers help us learn new subjects and give us the help and support we need, our teachers have always been there for us and are kind, caring, funny and creative.
We also had a rugby player come to visit us in the school and teach us new skills, we then had a rugby tryout and those who made the team will go and compete for Kismet against the other school in Sunbury next Tuesday.
The year 3s are going away for camp! They will leave on the 14th of November and be back on the 15th, they are going to Campaspe which is in Kyneton.
Thank you so much for reading and have fun on your weekend!
From your school captains Emily, Laneah, Genna, Olly.
