Get to know the Board

Peter Jones

St Philip's College is an incorporated as a company and governance is overseen by the College Board. 

 

Over the next few weeks, we'd like to highlight our current Board of Directors, so parents are familiar with who is charge of the College's Strategic Plan. 

 

Lyndon Frearson

Board Director 

Lyndon Frearson was appointed to St Philip’s College Board in 2021. Lyndon is a chartered electrical engineer with valued expertise is in the field of infrastructure development and deployment, policy and financing.   Lyndon has had over a decade’s experience in the energy sector with a focus on renewables. 

 

Lyndon is Managing Director and Principal Consultant of his own business Ekistica, one of Australia’s leading regional and remote advisory and technical consultancy firm. In this role, Lyndon continues to be one of the nation’s thought-leaders in the energy sector.

 

Lyndon is Chair of the College’s Planning and Infrastructure Committee which has a pivotal role in the development of the College’s ambitious ‘Big Build’ which includes the Year 12 indoor and outdoor recreation area, Outdoor Education Facility, Discovery Centre for Year 8 and 9 students, Sustainability Learning Centre and a new Maintenance complex. 

 

Lyndon resides in Alice Springs with his family and is a St Philip’s College parent.

 

Lawson Broad

Board Director

Lawson Broad is a past student and Vice Captain (Class of 1996) of St Philip’s College.  Lawson was appointed to St Philip’s College Board in June of this year.  

 

Lawson is CEO of Somerville Community Services, an organisation within the Uniting Church that provides community-based services for families, individuals and people with disability. Lawson is also on the Board of NT Shelter and is a member of the NT Council of Social Services and National Disability Services NT.  

 

Lawson has worked in private enterprise, the not-for-profit sector and the public service. 

With his vast array of experience, Lawson provides a strong background of governance and skill to the Board.

 

Lawson was born and raised in the Territory and resides in Darwin.
