Principal's Message

Diverse ~ Accepting ~ Inclusive Community

Dear Parents, Families and Friends,

St Philip’s is a rich community.

We are made of at least forty different nationalities. We are also a collection of different religions all living and working together under the Uniting Church umbrella.

These are just two of the things that make us a diverse community.

But they do not make us a good community.

We are fortunate that the St Philip’s community has so many extraordinary offerings, such as Homework Help, our high-quality Performing Arts performances like the Musical, our SMARTS program, our world class Outdoor Education program, our wide range of clubs and societies, the Basketball, Volleyball and Mountain Biking Sports Academy, as well as the large curriculum offerings taught by a dedicated and passionate teaching staff.

These activities make our community vibrant and busy, but still, they are not the things that make us a good community.

So, what makes us a good community? A community that has a strong reputation both within Alice Springs and across Australia?

It comes down to three words:

Striving - Seeking - Caring

As a community we are always STRIVING to be the very best version of ourselves, SEEKING to find ways in which we can be the very best version of ourselves, and always CARING for each other and the people in our community.

With five weeks left of Term Four, I encourage you to find ways to finish 2023 striving, seeking and caring.

Be Kind Always.
