Christmas Appeal: Each year, the Clayfield College community supports young children in care and protection by providing Christmas presents to be passed onto these children. We would like to invite you to bring along a Christmas present to place under our tree on the night.
All presents will be donated to our local UnitingCare Foster and Kinship Care. UnitingCare currently supports over 120 Foster and Kinship Carers with over 150 children aged from 0 to 18 years, at any time.
Please label your present with a description of the item, the age, and gender (if appropriate) to help UnitingCare find the best home for your gift.
To showcase the fantastic work of UnitingCare Foster and Kinship Care, the below video is a unique, heartfelt story about a vulnerable 12-year-old in foster care, her foster family were overwhelmed and decided on Christmas day that they no longer wanted to foster her. A youth worker drove to a garage near Gympie to rescue her, but luckily, he could swing by and collect some presents and back-to-school items for her from what was raised in the Christmas appeal.
