Dear families,
It’s been nice to have some warm weather for the children to be able to spend time outside enjoying their lunch and recess times. It’s great to see lots of smiling faces in the schoolyard at drop off and pick up time.
The Parents Social Night on Friday, 4th November was a great night. Over 25 parents enjoyed having a go at barefoot bowls. We look forward to holding these nights again in 2023.
It will be nice to get the school community together at the End of Year Celebration on Thursday, 17th November 2022 from 5.30pm-7.30pm. It will be a great opportunity to celebrate as a community.
The next P&F Meeting will be held on Monday, 5th December 2022 from 6.30pm-7.30pm at the School.
Planning is also underway for 2023 - let us know if you have any ideas of what you would like to see at the school.

Review of Events and Fundraising Information
Parents Social Night - Friday 4 November 2022
Over 25 parents came along to the Parents Social Night on Friday, 4th November 2022 where we got to give barefoot bowling a go at the Shepp Golf Bowls Club.
A great night was great by all! Everyone had fun giving lawn bowls a go with a few tips from the Bowls Club and fellow parents everyone had greatly improved by the end of the night.
We shared a lovely meal put on by the Bowls Club - I think all the parents enjoyed not having to cook dinner or worry about the dishes!
These nights will be back on again in 2023 and we look forward to seeing some new faces there.
Event and Fundraising Information
End of Year Celebration - Thursday 17th November 2022
Families are invited to come along to the End of Year Celebration on Thursday, 17th November 2022 from 5.30pm-7.30pm.
Enjoy musical acts and a social night with the school community. Sports and sandpit equipment will be out for children to play with.
Bring your own picnic tea, along with picnic rugs/chairs.
This has been planned in November to avoid the busy times in December.
A flyer was sent home with students last week - a copy is also attached here.

Next P&F Meeting
The next P&F Meeting will be held on Monday, 5th December 2022, 6.30pm-7.30pm.
The meeting will be in the evening as these times have been more suitable for most with work commitments during the day.
This meeting is close to the end of term, as has been rescheduled from earlier in the term, but will make sure we are well organised for 2023. This will be a great time to come along to let us know what you want to see at school next year. We will also review events/fundraisers from 2022.
Please come along to show your support for the P&F. The P&F can only operate with input from the school community.
Expressions of interest will be called for Committee Members. The role of President will also be vacant at the end of 2022 – please contact us to have a chat if you are interested in this role.
Being a part of the Committee isn’t a large time commitment and there are no set requirements of a member.

If you have a few hours to spare during the year and would like to get involved in the school community please register your interest to be involved as a parent helper through the P&F.
You can register your interest via email parentsandfriends@sbshepparton.catholic.edu.au.
*Volunteer requirements*
Volunteers must hold a current Working With Children’s Check. These details must be supplied to the school office to also be held confidentially.
WWCC’s are free for volunteers, you can apply through the Working With Children Check Victoria website.
Business interest
Do you own/run a business, or know of a business, that may be interested in being involved in supporting the school community through fundraisers, sponsorship, in-kind support or at events?
Please contact the P&F by email to register your interest. We are very interested in working with our school community and building connections with family businesses.
