There is only Good
We know you get more of what you focus on. Imagine focusing a microscope onto an atom or a cell, as you magnify closer the cell takes up the whole lens and everything around it goes out of vision. When you focus on the good, and fill your consciousness with it, the negative, the bad, and any error go out of vision and disappear.
As our Year 12s complete their final exams I reflected on the Year 12 Valedictory Dinner. As I looked around, all I could see were joyous, gracious, intelligent and beautiful students, joined by their grateful parents or families. The night was filled with a coming together of humility, humour, gratitude and joy. I heard no talk of anxiousness, covid, isolation or even a gripe about the food. What a wonderful occasion!
In Christian Science, God and good are synonymous and universal. Knowing this we can consciously fill our minds with good. Soon all you see is good.
From Genesis: "And God saw everything that he had made, and, behold, it was very good."
From Psalms: "I believe that I will see the goodness of the LORD in this world of the living."
And from Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy:
"All that God imparts moves in accord with Him, reflecting goodness and power."
"At all times and under all circumstances, overcome evil with good. Know thyself, and God will supply the wisdom and the occasion for a victory over evil. Clad in the panoply of Love, human hatred cannot reach you."
