Vic Premiers Reading Challenge

For the students that are participating in the Premiers' Reading Challenge you should have received your online username and password instruction letter this week. Parents if you child hasn't received this letter, please come to the Discovery Centre and we can give you your child's information.

For those who have not yet taken up the challenge, it's not too late to join in. If you require a participation consent form, they are available from the Discovery Centre.

Moodle

BHCS is proud to announce that "guest accounts" are being introduced to all Secondary Moodle courses. This will allow parents restricted (but very useful) access to view all Moodle courses. The goal is that all Secondary courses will be accessible by the start of next semester. Some courses are already available and you can see these for yourself by following these steps:

1) Go to our Moodle website (via our school website or visiting http://moodle.bhcs.vic.edu.au)

2) Click "login" (Don't worry about username and password at this stage)

3) Ciick login as a guest

4) Click on the "Courses" link on the left

5) Click on the actual course you are interested in. (Those with guest account access will have a small brown icon next to them).

6) Type the password. This is the same as the Parent Resource section. (If you are unsure, please contact Reception.)

Teachers are being encouraged to use the first link in their course to share contact details and the latest information about their subject, including homework and assignment details and/or other information about the latest topics being studied. Please note, if parents wish to see marks and grades, they need to use their children's logins. There is a link on Moodle to send out password reminders, if need be, but given the frequency that Moodle is used, students should be able to log in without a problem. Moodle and school email passwords can be reset by contacting David Wilson at dwilson@bhcs.vic.edu.au

If you have any questions about Moodle, please contact your child's Homegroup teacher or Vicky Fraanje.

Second Hand Uniform Shop Thank You

On behalf of the School Community, Cheryl Rule would like to say a big thank you to Imelda for running the Second Hand Uniform Shop. Imelda has been very efficient and helpful, parents have saved large amounts on school uniforms and the second hand clothes are always clean, neat and well organised.
