Senior Agriculture

On the last day of term 2, Jess Junor had the opportunity to attend a Neil McDonald Livestock and Dog Handling School in Keith. (From Muster Dog fame) People come from all over Australia to attend these schools, so Jess was extremely lucky to have this opportunity. It was a really long day of intensive learning about livestock handling and dog training. Neil explained how it is more about training the person, than training the dog how to perform. She learnt a lot about positioning your body in relation to the stocks and dogs’ position, so that the stock will head in the direction you need. Jess really enjoyed the day and is very keen to put her new knowledge into practice.
