Junior School

Weather and Uniform

As the weather becomes increasingly cold and wet, it is wonderful to see so many Junior School students in the yard wearing the new bonded jacket to keep warm. This weather will continue into term 3 and all students are encouraged to keep warm by layering up underneath the approved school uniform and ensuring that any wet items (including shoes) are kept in a warm dry space overnight to ensure that they are ready to wear every day.

Congratulations year 7s

Our year 7 cohort was tasked with raising money for the Royal Children’s Hospital and successfully made $697 for this worthy cause. We were informed that our students raised the highest amount of all participating schools and we couldn’t be prouder.

So many great events

Term 2 was full of a variety of fun events and our Junior School students were happy to be involved. It was great to see students dressing up and participating in athletics, Harmony Day, Harry Potter Day, Multicultural Celebrations, and camps. We look forward to more activities in semester 2.

Celebration Assemblies

At the end of each semester, we celebrate student achievement by holding assemblies that recognise 100% attendance, academic excellence, endeavour, and exemplifying the school values. This year we have also introduced rewards for getting merits with every merit putting students into the draw for a range of prizes. Congratulations to all recipients and to our Junior School Captains for the stellar job they did of running the assemblies.

Winter Holidays

We encourage all students to take time over the school holidays to take the time to rejuvenate so that they return at the beginning of term 3 ready to learn. It is also a good time to prepare for the upcoming term by reading novels for English, revising completed work in maths and science and looking ahead in subjects maintaining good revision and reading habits, and setting goals.
