Letter to Family and Friends

Dear Pilgrim Families,

Anchors

I recently went to a Professional Development afternoon about leadership. One of the key focuses piqued my interest - How do I anchor myself?

An anchor is something that is used to hold a ship to a standstill with rope, it provides a foundation and security for the ship. The anchor helps to keep the boat safe, secured to a set location and helps control the ship during the storms.

The training went on to challenge how we anchor ourselves? How do we anchor and share our school values?  How do we anchor everything we do in our schools?

The visual of the anchor stayed with me.

We have this hope as an anchor for the soul, firm and secure. It enters the inner sanctuary behind the curtain.

Hebrews 6:19

Jesus is our anchor - we can hold onto Him through our hope and faith. He has the strong foundation to keep us safe and secure through the ups and down we may encounter.

In order to realise the worth of the anchor we need to feel the stress of the storm.

Life is an ever-changing journey where we often encounter changes in circumstances, work, and community. Change, while sometimes challenging, can present us with new opportunities and beginnings. It is comforting to find strength in our unwavering faith throughout these transitions. How reassuring to know that God is our steadfast anchor through the stages of life!

I encourage you to grab hold of the anchor, and it won't move!

Blessings,
