Term 2 Reflections

Term 2 Reflections

As we come to the end of Term 2, it is a great time to reflect on all that has happened.  It has been a very busy term with lots of events, activities and of course, education!  In the Ministry Team, each chapel in Middle and Senior Years was run by the Worship and Mission students. I am so proud to be part of the journey for each student who spoke or led at chapel this Term, they all did an amazing job!  With everything going on though, at times, this term felt so busy because there was one thing after another. It is evidence of a thriving community but in these moments, it is so important that our focus is on God.

Imagine a scenario where you are sitting in a crowded room filled with noise and distractions. In the midst of this chaos, you notice a person who is speaking to you softly, sharing their thoughts and desires. To truly engage with that person, you would need to lean in, focus your attention, and actively participate in the conversation.

This is how it is with God, He desires that same level of engagement from us. He longs for our undivided attention, our heartfelt prayers, and our willingness to listen to His still, small voice.

Dear God,

In this moment, we quiet ourselves before You, seeking a deeper connection. Help us set aside distractions and listen attentively to Your still, small voice. May our hearts be receptive to Your leading, as we pursue genuine relationships with You and others. Amen.

Psalm 46:10 (NIV):

"Be still, and know that I am God;

  I will be exalted among the nations,

  I will be exalted in the earth."
