Uniform expectations for Semester 2

This communication is to clarify the college uniform expectations for School of Innovation students and give advance warning of uniform policies to enable, where applicable, the purchase of additional uniform items.

From the commencement of Semester 2, the wearing of college academic uniform on the days students do not have scheduled Physical Education classes will be required for all School of Innovation students. Term 2 will be a dedicated grace period to enable timely opportunities to ensure all uniform pieces are obtained. This clarification of uniform comes from parent and student feedback, along with consideration for manufacturer supply.

A dress code, in particular a uniform, provides a visual connection to identify students as members of the St Anne’s College community. The way a uniform is worn makes a statement about our college and it represents the fact that the student is a part of our school community. Parents/caregivers can readily access uniforms that are affordable, offer value for money and provide a stress-free choice as children get ready for school. Uniforms can be purchased in store at Goulburn Valley  School Uniforms, 62 High St, Shepparton or online https://www.noone.com.au/school/st-annes-college-kialla/shop. Second-hand uniforms can also be purchased via the St Anne’s College Second-Hand Uniform Facebook Group https://www.facebook.com/groups/279858710051180/?ref=share Please note that the sales and purchases made via the Second-Hand Uniform Facebook page are not dealt with by the college.

The benefits of a school uniform include the enhancement of school pride, unity and sense of belonging. Uniform ensures that students are dressed safely and appropriately for school activities and prepares students for the expectations in workplaces.

We hope this notice enables the preparation of uniform pieces for readiness for Semester 2. We thank you in advance for your cooperation in supporting the expectations we uphold as a college.
