2023 Victoria Police Community Sentiment Survey.

Victoria Police is currently running our second Community Sentiment Survey which is open until May 7th 2023.

Victoria Police is focused on being agile, responsive, and visible in addressing the community’s needs. To target our services to the issues important to the community, we need to hear from you.

This is our community too. Your safety is our priority.

The annual Community Sentiment Survey provides an opportunity for all Victorians to share their safety concerns, how they would like to interact with police, and where Victoria Police can focus our efforts to prevent and deter crime.

The survey is part of the Neighbourhood Policing Framework and administered by Engage Victoria (official Victorian Government consultation site). We are not asking for any identifiable information and your responses are anonymous.

Understanding your safety concerns as community members where you live, work, study and socialise will help inform the initiatives Victoria Police deliver to keep you and your communities safe.

The survey covers:

  • how safe you feel
  • your ideas to improve safety
  • how you want to engage with police
  • how comfortable you feel approaching police and PSOs.
