Australian Championships

Frankston High School has great success at Australian Championships:

 

Congratulations to the 10 Frankston High School students who have just returned from the Australian Junior Track and Field Championships in Sydney.  Our students excelled at the titles, achieving personal best performances along with some podium finishes all whilst competing against Australia's best. Brad Butler 4th U/16 hammer throw, 13th long jump, 7th shot put, 1st discus and 1st javelin, 2nd U/17 javelin 

Cassie Cain 11th U/17 long jump 

Lawson Power 3rd U/18 400m 

Ronin Barrett 4th U/14 high jump

Isabella Phanivong 1st U/14 long jump and 2nd triple jump

Relay

Frankston High School secured a spot in the recent Schools Relay Challenge at the IAAF Melbourne World Challenge after the teams recent success at the SSV Champiosnhips and the All Schools Track Relays. 

 

The team consisted of Lewis Bailey, Lawson Power, Matt LaFontaine and Patrick Coates. Frankston High School were up against the best schools from across Victoria yet managed to cross the line in first place in a time of 43.52. 

 

Congratulations to the team, this is an outstanding achievement.  A special thank you to the students who came up to support the team on the day.
