A very Healthy Cross Country

We were lucky last Friday that the rain held off for the annual Cross Country run for the Year 3 – 6 students.  As a reward for running around the school multiple times, the PA gave every student a piece of fruit at the finish line.  Thank you to Wendy and Marcello for helping with the set up and pack up, and for encouraging students to try more than just the bananas!

Thanks must also go to Tom from the Big Watermelon (Bushy Park) who helped us to choose boxes of top-quality apples, mandarins and ripe bananas.  They were delicious.

 Mother’s Day Stall

Friday is the big day for the Mother’s Day stall and it’s an event that our students love.  It’s not only a chance for them to buy a gift for mum, grandma or a special person, it’s also a good opportunity to learn important life skills.

It is quite an accomplishment to bring money to school, look after it, choose the perfect gift and work out if you have enough money to pay for it.  The mums who help out at the stall are all very friendly and supportive and will help everyone through the process of buying gifts, including paying the cashier.  If you are able to send your child along with some money tomorrow (no more than $10!), they really will gain a lot of confidence from the experience.
