Term 1 update & events coming up...
Hello everyone
I hope you had a good restful longer weekend.
Amid all the angst in the world at the moment with war, floods and COVID, I hope that March is going well for everyone. We are 3.5 weeks away to end of term! I hope this newsletter provides some inspiration and cheer.
We have had some good AMEB exam outcome from our students' video repertoire submissions made late last year. We are immensely proud of the following students who have shown diligence, dedication and perseverance to their music practice last year. Tehy ahve also shown that they could take responsibility for their own learning and progress by throgh challenging zoom lesson times during the intermittent lockdown periods. Well done to their respective teachers too.
James Lao (Grade 5): A+
Valerie Lo (Grade 2) : A+
Matthew Setjadiningrat (Grade 3): B+
Jonas Loke (Grade 1) B+

Saina Mirpuri( (Preliminary) B+
We are very excited to be holding a "dress up" week in the second last week of term ie Monday 28 March to Sunday 3 April. The theme is "your favourite composer from the Baroque or Classical period". For those who are not so familiar with the history of music this would be from the period 1600-1750 (Baroque period) and approximately 1750-1830 (Classical period).
See link here to get some ideas!
A photo of your child will be taken on arrival at Forte on his/her dress up day. The panel of judges will be our teachers who will select the "three best dressed students" and each of the winners will be rewarded with a gift voucher each to buy print music!
