Chaque vendredi, nous faisons des ateliers de maths. Nous partageons des jeux et effectuons des calculs en colonne. C’est très amusant !

The swimming carnival / La compétition de natation
On Wednesday 23rd February 2022 our Grade 3 to 6 cohorts participated in the swimming carnival.
The students competed against each other in either freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke or butterfly. In between each of the swims, the students would either have their snack or play with their friends. The teachers would call out their names for their swim. It was also very hot, but luckily the students were going in the pool, which was around 20 degrees Celsius. Some did two swims and some did only one and some got ribbons, but all of the students did very well. (Olivia)
Durant la compétition de natation des années 3 à 6, nous avons fait des courses de crawl, de dos crawlé, de brasse et de papillon. C'était très amusant ! (Timothy)
Lightning Premiership
On Tuesday the 15th of March the Grade 5/6 students competed in a round robin Lightning Premiership. The summer sports included Basketball, Cricket, Volleyball and Softball. All students represented the school with pride and demonstrated excellent sportsmanship throughout the day. Unfortunately none of our teams progressed to the next round out of the Division 1 competitions, but we had a few teams win their Division 2 competition. Congratulations to all who participated.
Mardi le 15 mars dernier, les élèves de CM2 et de 6ème ont représenté notre école à la compétition Lightening Premiership. Les sports estivaux incluent le basketball, le cricket, le volleyball et la balle-molle. Nous sommes fiers de nos élèves qui ont démontré un excellent esprit sportif tout au long de la journée. Nous n'avons pas progressé au niveau supérieur cette fois-ci pour les compétitions de la Division 1, mais nous avons eu des équipes qui se sont portées victorieuses dans leur competition de la division 2. Bravo à tous les participants !
Le concours de la francophonie - binômes CE1 et CE2 / French competition - Grade 2 and 3, French Binational Program
Nos élèves ont participé au Concours de la Francophonie organisé par le Lycée Condorcet à Sydney. Le thème était « La semaine de la langue française et de la Francophonie, ça (d’) étonne ! Après avoir étudié et compris le jeu de mot, les élèves ont montré beaucoup de créativité à travers des posters, réalisés seuls ou à 2. Bravo et merci à tous d’avoir participé ! Les gagnants de notre propre compétition à CJC seront nommés à l'assemblée de la francophonie lundi prochain.

Our students participated in a French competition organised by the Lycée Condorcet in Sydney. This year the theme was "The French language and Francophonie Week, ça (d’) étonne ! (a double-meaning pun, "surprising and exploding"). Once they had studied and understood the pun, they demonstrated a tremendous amount of creativity through posters that they produced individually, or in pairs. Congratulations to all for participating! The winners of our own contest at CJC will be announced at the Francophonie assembly next Monday.
