What is Harmony Day?

Harmony Day is about celebrating differences and cultures and treating all cultures equally with respect. We wear orange because it is the colour that represents social communication, freedom of ideas, and the encouragement of mutual respect.

The Harmony Day theme for 2022 is
“Everyone belongs”

When was Harmony Day Created?

Harmony day was first created in 1999. It was created to bring unity, diversity and equality between different cultures. An Australian created Harmony Day but now it is celebrated worldwide.

Why is Harmony Important?

Harmony Day is important because it reminds us that everyone is different. It helps cultures come together so that everyone feels included in our world.
