Change Makers of Gippsland (Women in STEM) program

Kristen Raine

To give you an overview, the Women in STEM (WISTEM) Change Makers of Gippsland project will involve 60 female students across Gippsland schools and will take place from February to August. The project is a partnership between Workforceplus, Sale College and the Australian Renewables Academy and it is designed to connect young women in years 7-11 with local industries and create solutions to problems using STEM. The first Change Maker event will take place virtually tomorrow and we will be based in the library (L2). Then, over the next few months, mentoring sessions will occur with a culmination of projects and solutions being presented in August.
