INCLUSION TEACHER

Awareness Through Education

#3 What Does Mr. Field Actually Do?

As a teacher, I’ve been called many things over the years! 😊 Now I’m called the Inclusion Teacher, and many people probably wonder what I do.

I work with a range of children with differing abilities, alongside their parents, teachers and allied health professionals to cater for their unique learning needs, both inside and outside the classroom.

Think of me as a ‘support person’ who tries to ensure everything is ‘just right’ for children to reach their full potential. Like an assistant coach of a football team, I suggest strategies to the head coach (class teacher) and sometimes work individually with the player (student) to develop their skills.

Thank you

James Field (Inclusion Teacher)
