Safer Internet Day

At St Joseph's Safer Internet Day was acknowledged and celebrated last week.  Many students were involved in a variety of activities to promote 'Play It Fair' online.

YEAR 2

Year 2 has been learning how to be safe and responsible digital citizens by not sharing personal information on devices and by seeking help from a trusted adult when they feel unsafe or uneasy online.

Hector and his underwater friends have been helping Year 2 learn about protecting information and making strong passwords. Hector has also modelled how to go to a trusted adult when things go wrong.

The students engaged further with the story of Hector by sequencing it in groups to further connect with the story.

YEAR 3

Students in Years 3 engaged in a nationwide live Virtual Classroom webinar to help students to keep themselves and others safe.

Year 3 also wrote insightful information about being safe online after participating in Safer Internet Day tasks.
