Car Park Safety

With more than 230 students and 100 staff at VRS, the car park has some very peak times. We must avoid any risk for our students and families. 

To ensure the safety of every student the following arrangements are in place:

All drivers must note: The car park is a 5km zone only. Please adhere to this zone.

• There are only two parent pick up times in the afternoon. 2:45pm  or 3:15pm 
   
• The 3:00 – 3:14pm timeslot is for buses only. Parents should avoid the car park at this time.
   
• School is dismissed at 3pm. However all students who are being collected at 3:15pm will be supervised by staff.
   
• There are 8 x 15 minute car parks and 2 x disabled carparks. These pick up and drop off times must be followed to ensure there is adequate parking.
   
• Parents/carers using the 3:15 pick up time are welcome to park in the bus parking along the south side (the assembly hall side) and in front of Reception, once the contract buses have all left the school.
   
• Pedestrians walking through the car park are asked to use the footpath along the northern fence line to ensure a safer pathway for parents and children coming from and going to the 15 minute parks.
   
• Parents dropping off are welcome to ‘Kiss and Drop’ in front of Reception as long as there are no contract buses in the car park.
