Shepparton Education Plan:
SHEPPARTON EDUCATION PLAN - UPDATE FOR SCHOOL COMMUNITIES
Preparations for 2020 are ongoing. Transition visits to both McGuire Campus and the Wanganui Park Campus for our senior students have already happened and plans are in place for further visits. We have also hosted Year 8 students from Shepparton High School, Wanganui Park Secondary College and McGuire College, and this too will be an ongoing program. Information evenings were held recently at both McGuire College, Wanganui Park Secondary College and here at MSC in preparation for 2020. Subject selection / pathway interviews for senior students are happening this week as we prepare students for next year and beyond.
The Leadership team at Mooroopna Secondary College is inviting parents and carers to join them for morning tea to address questions that you might have regarding the Shepparton Education Plan and the new Greater Shepparton College.
A series of morning tea sessions will be held every Friday from 9.15 am to 10.15 am until the end of term 3. The number of places for each session will be limited and bookings are essential for catering purposes. To book an opportunity, please contact the College on 58252344.
Transition
Across all four schools there has been a focus on beginning the important process of transition. Eight different Transition teams, with each school represented, have designed tours and activities to address some of the concerns of those students moving to new campuses in 2020. Last week there were three successful sessions held at McGuire, Mooroopna and Wanganui for students with disabilities. Next week will see both Wanganui Park and Mooroopna host students from McGuire, Mooroopna and Shepparton High. These visits include guided tours of the new campus, to become familiar with the physical environment, as well as activities that assist in the formation of new friendships.
