Our Kitchen

Hand made pasta

From Cath, Parent of Tex

Our school has an awesome kitchen program and kids from Year 3 onwards get a term to cook and eat together.

If you can wangle it, this is such a fabulous activity to do with your child's class.

  • You don't need to commit to the whole term, just whenever you can make it
  • You don't have to be a whizz in the kitchen
  • Just be another set of eyes and hands helps out the kitchen staff and ensures the kids get as much out of it as possible.

To top it off, you then get to sit down to a meal with your fellow chefs. The food is ace and where possible, sourced from our garden. THe kids are wonderful and interesting company.

Last week we made pesto with pumpkin and sunflower seeds to go with fresh made pasta. It was so good that I had to make it at home tonight for dinner.

You don't have to have a kid at the school to help however, you will need a working with children's check.
