Clean Up Australia Day 2019

The students of NMPS spent time on Friday 1st March making our school beautiful by picking up all the rubbish that they could find. 

Did you know the average Australian household generates 2.25kg of rubbish every single day? This is quite high, even though it may not seem like it. Over a year, 2.25kg of rubbish being disposed of every day is enough waste to completely fill up a 3-bedroom home!

It is extremely important that we try to keep our school as safe and orderly as possible. If you see some rubbish on the ground, don't just walk by it, pick it up and pop it in the bin. If we all play our part then we can help to minimise the rubbish we generate as a school.
