Softball Division and Region Finals
Our Boys Softball team has been competing over the past few weeks in the Division and Region Finals. Thank you again to Aaron Halstead and the parents who drove the kids to the Region Finals. The boys won 2 games and lost one game. What a great achievement to get to this level of competition. Well done boys!
Volleyball Schools Cup
On Friday November 22nd, the Volleyball Schools Cup will be held at the State Volleyball Centre. We are hoping to enter about 4 teams into this from the Year 4 students who are interested in attending. Thank you to all those who came to the first trials day today. There will be another trials day next Tuesday at lunchtime in the Stadium, so if you are interested, then please let us know. Once this is finalised next week, we will have more training sessions, then off to the competition Thank you to Ashley Bau and Samantha Barkley, who will be attending.

Walk to School Week: Monday November 11th – 15th
Next week is “Walk to School Week". There will be 4 checkpoints in streets around the school for those who cannot walk all the way from home, so if students can be dropped off at their designated walking areas, then staff will walk them to school at 8.45am. Staff will be at their checkpoints by 8.30am. For those children who normally do walk to school or would like to have a go this coming week, their names will be recorded in the classroom and each child will receive a badge with the winning design on it for their bags.
Each classroom will have a map in it so that children who need to be dropped off can see where the walking zones are and hopefully can walk from there with staff supervision.
If there are any children who use a scooter or ride a bike to get to school, this also counts as a tally for their class. The tally is for walking, scooting or riding to and from school each day.
On Friday November 15th, we will finish the great Walk To School Week off with a “Crazy Socks Day”, where children can wear their craziest socks to school for the day.
We are looking forward to seeing lots of children walk to school next week and especially those who don’t normally walk, giving it a go and supporting our healthy week.

The Art Show on This Monday!
The Art Show is on Monday 11th November in the PAC. It will start at 6:00pm till 8pm.
Gold coin donation at the door, program available and level prizes will be handed out on the night. I hope to see you there on the night.
I looking forward to sharing the creative artworks created by out students this year.
If you are able to help in setting up the artworks on either Sunday 10th November (anytime after 12) or Monday 11th November during the day please send me an email or swing past the art room.
Any help be it an hour or 2 will be really appreciated.

Teeth On Wheels is Back at CHPS
Exciting news! Teeth on Wheels will be returning to our school for the children’s 6 monthly dental visit’s.
To make filling out the consent form easier you can now complete your Child’s consent form online by following the link below.
It only takes 5 minutes to complete and by reducing the amount of paper being used, we will be helping the team out by being more environmentally friendly.

The date of the children’s dental visit will be starting on Thursday the 14th of November 2019, so please ensure if you didn’t complete a form at the start of the year to have this completed ASAP!
