Imagine Day

On Wednesday, 28th of August the students of Year 7 2020 enjoyed a day of fun and friendship as they began the transition process into Girton Senior School.
Our current Year Six cohort was joined by the students intending to join Girton next year in Year Seven. The Year Eleven House Captains and Vice Captains ably led the day. Initially, the students collaborated and used initiative to represent iconic Australia with newspaper! The creations were highly original and new friendships started to blossom as the students worked together.
A tour of the Senior School, including information on the breadth and variety of co-curriculum activities available, was most effectively conducted by the Year Eleven leaders.
The Year Eleven leaders then shared their journey at Girton through workshop activities with the Year Six students. Fun was had by all.
A session of interactive activities concluded the day as students continued to build new relationships that will assist their journey into Senior School.
A thank you to all the Year Six students and Year Eleven Leaders, Junior School Teachers and the Administration Staff involved in making this such a successful day.
We look forward to meeting the year Seven 2020 cohort again on Tuesday the 15th of October, our next Transition day.
