Primary News

What a week!

Congratulations to all for successfully completing Week 8!  Over the last two weeks, students have been involved in many exciting events.  Last week, students were treated to a fantastic day of sunshine for our annual Cross Country run.  I was very impressed with the competition, friendly atmosphere and organisation.  Well done to Mr Jason Schulz for organising such a wonderful event.

Classes are finishing off the term with several excursions:

  • Mr Jones’s Year 5’s ventured down to the Planetarium to discover more about our wonderfully created Solar System
  • Mrs Atkinson’s Reception/Year 1 class went to discover Old Tailem Town as part of their HASS topic; and
  • Mrs Grivell’s Reception class went to the State Library

Stay tuned to discover what the other classes have been up to!

Next Friday, 5 April, is Sports Day!!!  We cannot wait to see the students, teachers and parents embrace the day.  It is always such an exciting time.  If you have completed your School Volunteer Induction and would like to assist your child(ren)’s class, please inform their class teacher; the more parent involvement, the better.

Regarding photography and/or video on Sports Day, please note that you have a responsibility to obtain the consent of the parents/caregivers of other children before sharing, uploading or circulating those images.  A good rule of thumb is, where possible, only take footage or pictures of your own child.

On the last day of Term 1, the Tyndale community is invited to celebrate Family Fun Day.  Individual classes plan and run stalls to raise money for missions.  It is a wonderful time of fun and fellowship; see you there!

Finally, I would like to thank Mick Falzon for producing two soccer goals (pictured left) for the students.  The students have really enjoyed using them; they look like they will endure years of student fun!

Have a great weekend.

Sports Day

A reminder that the Junior School (ELC to Yr 6) Sports Day is Friday 5 April 2019. All are welcome to come for the day, or part of the day, to cheer on your children and their team. A sausage sizzle BBQ will be available for lunch raising funds for our Kenyan & Sri Lankan Children's Homes, along with a revised canteen menu, with a snack bag (pictured) being run from the Gym Foyer.

Food orders sent in prior to the event will be helpful for the team who prepare the food.
